    Full Name of the Resource : Genome sizes of vertebrates and invertebrates

    Brief Description : The Animal Genome Size Database provides an accessible compilation of published genome sizes (haploid nuclear DNA contents, or "C-values") for both vertebrates and invertebrates. Created in 2001, the database now includes genome size data for more than 4,000 species. In addition to genome sizes (in picograms), the database provides taxonomic information, chromosome numbers (where available), and details of methodology for each entry. Real-time summary statistics and outlinks to other databases are also provided.
